So, I heard about this case.... A 29 year old man lives in a very high class "gated community", and he gets worried, when there are a bunch of robberies lately. He tries to help by setting up a neighborhood watch party. On a dark, rainy night he see's a strange figure wandering around. He starts to follow the man. This man is actually a 17 year old, colored boy who is there to see his father. The boy notices someone following him. The older man calls the cops. Since there are no witnesses who saw everything, only little clips, it is unknown how they came in contact with each other, but they did. They get into a violent fight. The boy knocks the man to the ground, and sees a gun on his waistband. The boy says "You will die tonight!". The man shoots the boy and kills him.
They are accusing the man of second degree murder. I disagree. From what I have heard, the boy was there because he had been kicked out of school for fighting and did drugs, and the mother couldn't handle it. The boy also called a friend, and told her that a "creepy ass cracker" was following him. It seems like all that happened, was a young boy who had been exposed to a culture (school) that often resorted to violence to solve disputes, decided to take matters into his own hands and confront a man who was following him, instead of calling the police or simply going home. The man was using self defense, which is why he was carrying the gun in the first place. It's sad, that a boy who had his whole life ahead of him died. But, to send an innocent man to jail, well, why would you want to destroy 2 lives?
Remember this is what I have heard, just out of gossip. If you would like to read up on it and decide for yourself, look up "Zimmerman" in google, and you will find some articles.

My View On Marriage
What happens when you say "I do"? Well, most people would say, you are agreeing to be bound to one person for eternity. But, I'm going to challenge that.
You see, people change all the time! They learn things, their opinions change, their environments change, they are around different people who they are often influenced by. A person, in just a few short years, could then be a totally different person. For instance, when I was 7, I wanted to be a doctor. I was serious to. I spent my nights watching Discovery Health surgeries! I was fascinated, and wanted to be a doctor so badly. But, then, when I was 10, I got squeamish. I realized being a doctor meant being exposed to gruesome blood and guts and I might as well be living in a horror movie. So, I decided to do the next thing that was so interesting. I wanted to be a writer. I loved to write stories and basically, talk! So, I spent the next years writing short stories. But, I got bored, and then discovered the fascinating world of law. So, the next year I read law text books, and watched TV shows about Lawyers.
In between those times, my opinions changed to. When I was 9, my older sister became a vegetarian. I made fun of her, telling her it was silly and probably torture. But, now, I am a vegetarian (long story for another article). When I was 10, I swore to my mom I wouldn't have sex till marriage because that's what God wanted. Now....well again it's for another article. Up till I was 12 1/2, I was overweight. I just lost 30 pounds. When I was 8, I met my best friend Andrea in Awana, and now I wouldn't be able to imagine my life without her!
My opinions and religious views, goals for life, and knowledge expanded and changed! It can happen to anyone! So, when you get married, are really saying that you will bound to one person for the rest of your life? Because if you are, you shouldn't be getting married. When you get married, you are saying you will love and except this human being, no matter what kind of person he or she is, even if during the course of the years, they change completely!
But, that doesn't sound fun, does it? What if this person changes into someone you hate. That's why marriage doesn't work for a lot of people! That's why there are so many divorces! Because, when people change, we lose the person we were really in love with. But, that's the hard truth. That's also why you shouldn't get married when you're young, or when relationship is still fresh. When you're young, you go through phases, and you change way too often . When the relationship is still fresh, the people are on their best behavior, and you haven't even seen the person they are currently.
To conclude, people change, it does happen. There's really nothing we can do about it. That's why getting married is such a huge decision, and should be taken under great consideration. Marriage isn't for everyone, and though society's norms include getting married someday, I don't think you are weird if marriage doesn't appeal to you. This is all I have to say, hope you found this article interesting.

Introduction
Lets get one thing straight, right here, right now! My name is Kati, and I am turning 13 in August. I am writing this blog, why? To make a point. Just because I am young, does not mean what I have to say can't be just as useful and inspirational as any other adult would say. But, because I am young, whatever I have to say doesn't count and is just silly nonsense. Yet if an adult would have said the exact same thing, they aren't silly they are wise! Because I am young, no one listens, and no one cares! But, y'know what I'm trying to change that. I want to be heard, I like talking and I have great ideas! So, I'm giving you the option. You can click off right now because you don't really care what an almost 13 year old girl has to say. OR, you can bookmark this blog and read some pretty interesting stuff over the next few days, months, years, or whatever.
